Free tools for physical commodity trade

The arithmetic every physical trade runs on: what the cargo is called at customs, how much of it fits in a box, what it costs delivered and what the price actually is once the units agree. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Why we publish these

We are the counterparty on the other side of these trades, so the questions these tools answer are the ones we are asked before every deal: what heading does it clear under, how many tonnes fit the box, who pays the terminal at destination, what does it actually cost landed, and is that quote per pound or per tonne.

Answering them once and publishing the answer is cheaper than answering them one email at a time. Use them freely, with or without doing business with us. When you want a firm level on a physical cargo, or the other side of the price risk on one, the desk is a message away.

What these tools are not

They are trade practice made calculable, not legal or tax advice. Tariff classification, duty rates, contaminant limits and import controls change, differ by country and turn on facts specific to your shipment. Confirm anything that carries a liability with a licensed customs broker in the destination country, and confirm contract terms with your own counsel.

Price it with the desk

Tell us the commodity, the grade, the origin and the window. That is enough for a trader to come back with a level and a settlement route.
